Swimming and Your New Tattoo

Now that you have your fresh new tattoo, you need to take very good care of it.

You've invested all that time and money in your new body art, the responsibility falls on you to take care of it.

As the summer months are starting to approach, skin's out & we want to show off the new ink. Getting a tattoo in summer can have its downside & the main one is avoiding swimming!

Most artists recommend avoiding swimming for at least 2 weeks post your tattoo.

Getting your tattoo wet is fine, but soaking it is a big no no. Yes, you can (and should!) shower with your new tattoo as long as you don't completely soak it.

WHY?

A new tattoo is an open wound. Soaking the tattoo can lead to fading and discolouration. To avoid any infection best to stay clear from pools, open water, spas and hot tubs.. oh and excessive sweating!

CARE

Using professional aftercare such as MARKED! will help your tattoo heal faster and prevent peeling and dryness.
