Frequently Asked Questions

What is MARKED!?

MARKED! is a deeply nourishing balm developed specifically for tattooed skin. Created with tattoo artists over two years, it absorbs beautifully without leaving the heavy barrier feel associated with traditional ointments.

How do I use MARKED!?

Using clean hands, apply a small amount to clean, dry tattooed skin and massage gently until absorbed. Apply 3–5 times daily for the first two weeks, or follow your tattoo artist’s individual aftercare instructions.

When should I begin using MARKED!?

Follow the instructions provided by your tattoo artist, as dressing types and removal times vary. Once your dressing has been removed and the tattoo has been gently cleaned and dried, MARKED! can be applied as directed.

Can I use MARKED! on healed tattoos or dry skin?

Yes. MARKED! can be used beyond the initial aftercare period whenever your tattooed skin needs additional moisture. It can also be applied to other areas of dry skin.

Can MARKED! be used after cosmetic tattooing?

Yes, but cosmetic tattoo aftercare can vary by treatment and practitioner. Always follow the instructions provided by your cosmetic tattoo artist first.

How is MARKED! different from regular creams and Bepanthen?

MARKED! was developed specifically for tattooed skin and is designed to absorb without a heavy barrier feel. Bepanthen describes its tattoo ointment as creating a protective layer and confirms that it uses the same effective formula as its Nappy Rash Ointment.

Will MARKED! stop my tattoo from fading?

No product can completely prevent fading. Keeping healed tattooed skin moisturised can help it look cared for, while protecting it from the sun is one of the most important ways to preserve its appearance.
